• This is an Original US One Sheet Poster for the first release of the 1958 film Veritgo. Vertigo was the first Alfred Hitchcock film for which Saul Bass produced a film poster and this image has gone on to become one of the most famous pictures in movie history. The poster is synonymous with the film, they are almost one and the same. The poster uses a spiral, a symbol which can be seen throughout the film. The spiral is a visual representation of obsession, the core theme of the film. Obsession is powered by repetition, an action the spiral also represents. Scenes in the film are repeated to capture obsession. James Stewart plays Fergie, a retired detective, who suffers from acrophobia (a fear of heights) and vertigo. He takes on a job to investigate a friend's wife - Madeline, who is displaying strange behaviour. Fergie becomes obsessed with Madeline and the story unfolds. This first‑release Vertigo One Sheet is exceptionally hard to source, and this example presents beautifully. The reds — notoriously the first colour to fade on vintage posters — remain rich and vibrant, with no drift toward orange. The paper shows a gentle, natural warm tone when compared with the white of the linen backing, entirely consistent with a well‑preserved piece approaching its 70th year. The poster was professionally linen‑backed prior to my acquisition, and light, sympathetic retouching was carried out along the fold lines, most noticeably on the lower vertical fold. The close‑up photographs provide a clear view of these areas and allow for a detailed assessment. Overall, this is a striking, well‑preserved example of an increasingly scarce poster, and it will display superbly once framed.
  • Dr. No is the movie that launched the James Bond phenomenon into the US, and this is the poster that was used to promote it. Bond with a cigarette in one hand and a gun in the other lounges next to 4 seductive women. Small line drawings of scenes from the movie are used. Red and yellow are colours that portray passion while the use of black green and yellow is perhaps a nod to the film's Jamaican setting. You can observe grey smoke coming from Bonds cigarette. In the first run of prints of these posters the smoke was yellow but this was changed in later print runs. Both posters are equally desirable, and this is a special and rare poster. It is in beautiful linen-backed condition.

This is an original poster for the release of You Only Live Twice in the USA. Three styles were produced to promote the release of 'You Only Live Twice' in both Britain and the US. Of the three styles the Style C (Bath Scene) picture is the most popular. The picture has many subtle signs of the year the poster was produced. The image is deliberately risque, reflecting the new 1960s mood of sexual liberation. The tagline emphasises that Sean Connery is the one and only James Bond, perhaps a veiled put-down of Casino Royal, the Bond spoof released that year. The artwork is unmistakably Robert McGinnis while the great children's author and 'Tales of the Unexpected' creator Roald Dahl wrote the screenplay and is named in the poster's credits.

This is an original US One Sheet Cinema poster for the first release of Thunderball in the United States. Thunderball was the first Bond film poster to feature work by the acclaimed artist Robert McGinnis and this US One Sheet poster features three of his finest works. Bond can be seen in a diving suit both under water and surrounded by four adoring girls. The jetpack that features in the French Chateau scene (must really have wowed at the time and still does) completes the image.

This is an original One Sheet Cinema poster for a 1982 re-release of 'The Empire Strikes Back'. This is a particularly rare version of the poster as it features what Star Wars enthusiasts refer to as a teal background (the widely distributed version has a purple background). It was likely printed in as part of a test print run but never distributed to cinemas . Finger in the air, there is probably around a hundred of them in circulation. In truth the exact history of this poster is unknown. The design by Tom features? Darth Vadar, Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian and Yoda (in one of his first appearances in an official Star Wars poster).

This is an original US poster from the first release of the famous shark horror film Jaws. The portrait format of the US posters lends itself particularly well to the famous Jaws artwork and the fact this is also a country of origin makes this a highly desirable poster. Jaws is a hugely important film as it's considered to be the first summer blockbuster. Steven Spielberg's film is also the first film to earn over $100m USD at the box office. The story revolves around a white shark that terrorises the inhabitants of Amity, a quiet island. The film is based on a novel by Peter Benchley and the artwork from the cover of the novel has been re-used to create one of the most iconic cinema images of all time. This poster is in excellent condition and has been linen backed to restore and remove the fold lines. The third unframed image is a HD picture that enables the best condition assessment.

This is an original Style A One Sheet poster for the 1980 release of 'The Empire Strikes Back'. The poster is commonly known as the 'Gone with the Wind' poster. Painted by Roger Castell, the image of Hans Solo kissing Princess Leia is a clear homage to a 1967 re-release poster for 'Gone with the Wind'. The use of this image is believed to have been a request directly from George Lucas. Considered by many to be the most beautiful picture produced for the Star Wars franchise, the background is similar to the Aurora Borealis (Northern lights). A large Vadar helmet looms large in the image, a design taken from Tom Jung 'Style A' Star Wars poster. The poster is linen-backed in excellent condition. The unframed image is a higher definition picture that enables condition assessment.
  • This is an orginal US poster for the first release of Goldfinger in the US. Perhaps the most memorable scene in the movie Goldfinger is the character Dink being found dead and completely painted in gold. This image is central to the both UK quad posters and this US poster. The US poster relies heavily on taglines while also featuring an image of Bond in a passionate (and recently controversial) encounter with the memorable Bond girl Pussy Galore played by Honor Blackman.
  • This is an original Star Wars Style A One sheet poster. The design, and artwork, was produced by Tom Jung. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on the poster. A large image of Darth Vader's helmet looms in the background, a design that was used in many subsequent posters for the franchise. A white streak across the top of Luke's lightsaber forms a cross. Jung explained this as representing the forces of good against evil. Star Wars was so popular in US Cinemas that four distinct prints runs of this poster were created for the first release of the film. This is from the 3rd print run which can be distinguished by the NSS number of "77/21" with "Star Wars" written under it and ''one sheet - style 'A' printed to the left of this. The poste is in beautiful tri-folded condition. The unframed image is a higher definition picture that enables condition assessment. The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way.

This is an Original Advance US One Sheet Poster for the first release of the hugely popular 1985 film - Back to the Future. In the film, Marty McFly, played by Michael J Fox, travels back in time by 30 years to the year 1955. He inadvertently stops his parents meeting thereby threatening his very existence. In the movie, time travel is made possible using a DeLorean car built by his friend and scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). The DeLorean car, which was made in Belfast, features prominently in all posters for the movie. The instantly recognisable artwork is by Drew Struzan. This rolled poster is in near-mint condition. This is an original US One Sheet Poster for Diamonds are Forever.  With George Lazenby having played the role last time, Bond is immediately recognisable as Sean Connery,  surrounded by two female characters holding handfuls of diamonds. All 3 are positioned on the arm of a space buggy that Bond hijacks in the film. Blofeld's diamond satellite superweapon and oil rig lair feature in the background. Instead of a tagline as used in previous Bond posters, the "Forever" in the poster is repeated. This poster is in beautiful folded condition with no colour loss along the folds let alone cracking. The artwork by Robert McGinnis works particularly well with the portrait format of this poster. It was to be Sean Connery's last appearance in an Eon-produced James Bond film. The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way.
