This an original Style A One Sheet poster for the 1980 release of ‘The Empire Strikes Back’. The poster is commonly known as the ‘Gone with the Wind’ poster. Painted by Roger Castell, the image of Hans Solo kissing Princess Leia is clear homage to a 1967 re-release poster for ‘Gone with the Wind’. The use of this image is believed to have been a request directly from George Lucas.
Considered by many to be the most beautiful picture produced for the Star Wars franchise, the background is similar to the Aurora Borealis (Northern lights). A large Vadar helmet looms large in the image, a design taken from Tom Jung ‘Style A’ Star Wars poster.

This is an original Style D US cinema poster for the film Star Wars. Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia feature prominently and the tagline ‘A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away..’ is used.
The poster, which was designed by Drew Struzan and came to be known as ‘The Circus Poster’, is highly regarded by Star Wars. The image shows a poster within a poster. It was done in this way to enable the credits to fit at the bottom. This poster is studio-issued and was used to promote the soundtrack for the film (reflected in the blue ‘original soundtrack’ button). Although printed in exactly the same way, and size, as the film poster, we can offer this version at a significant discount to a non-soundtrack poster.

This is an original Star Wars Style A One sheet poster. The design, and artwork, was produced by Tom Jung. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on the poster. A large image of Darth Vader's helmet looms in the background, a design that was used in many subsequent posters for the franchise. A white streak across the top of Luke’s lightsaber forms a cross. Jung explained this as representing the forces of good against evil.

Due to the popularity of the film, four printings of this One Sheet were produced in 1977. This poster has NSS code 77/21 which signifies the 2nd print run. The poster is in near mint condition and linen backed. #cinemapostergallery #starwars
