This is an original Star Wars Style A One sheet poster. The design, and artwork, was produced by Tom Jung. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on the poster. A large image of Darth Vader’s helmet looms in the background, a design that was used in many subsequent posters for the franchise. A white streak across the top of Luke’s lightsaber forms a cross. Jung explained this as representing the forces of good against evil.

Star Wars was so popular in US Cinemas that four distinct prints runs of this poster were created for the first release of the film. This is from the 3rd print run which can be distinguished by the NSS number of “77/21” with “Star Wars” written under it and ”one sheet – style ‘A’ printed to the left of this.

The poste is in beautiful tri-folded condition. The unframed image is a higher definition picture that enables condition assessment.

The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way.

Mint
A flawless poster that will be in the exact same condition as the day it was printed with no marks or fading.

Near Mint
This poster will be in excellent conditions and if it has a blemish or mark it will be barely noticeable.

Very Fine
A poster that may have more than one very minor flaws, a minor tear or some barely visible signs of restoration. Colour in outstanding condition.

Fine
A fine poster while still very presentable may have some edge damage, show clearer signs of restoration or have multiple nicks to the surface. If a folded poster there may be loss of colour along the folds.

Very Good
An average poster that shows multiple pinholes, tears that are clearly visible or possible tape stains. Colours are still good but the paper may have yellowed.

Good and Below Good
This poster will show serious signs of wear and tears, fading of colours, tear marks and/or noticeable repair work.
