This is an original, linen-backed US One Sheet poster for The Godfather, considered by many to be the greatest film of all time. The film tells the story of the Corleone family, one of the most established crime families in New York City. Marlon Brando famously plays the role of Vito Don Corleone, while Al Pacino plays his son Michael Pacino. Don Corleone's refusal to involve the family in the drug trade leads his rivals to view the family as past the peak of their powers and it leads the Corleone family to come under attack. This minimal US One Sheet poster is from the film's first release and includes the cast names and the classic Godfather image of the puppeteer pulling strings. The fanfare the film was released to enabled the use of this minimal design, and style has been emulated many times in the past 50 years, not least by the television show 'The Sopranos'. This original poster for Mean Streets is a triumph of graphic design. It shows a smoking gun pointing upwards that forms part of the Manhattan skyline. The streetlights resemble gallows. Violence is part of the very fabric of this poster and movie that tells the story of low-level crime on the streets of New York. This poster is in incredible 'near mint' condition. This is an original style D poster for the film Star Wars. It is widely known as the Circus Poster and on the request of George Lucas George Lucas features ?Luke and Leah? swinging on a rope. Charles White produced the sketch and airbrush sections of the poster while Drew Struzan painted the portraits with oil. After carefully producing the painting you see on the 'postage stamp', the realised they had left no space for the credits and came up with the solution to paint the Obi Wan Kinobi on the right-hand side thus creating the scale required for the credits at the bottom. The first printing of the poster was done in the summer of 1978. (The film was so popular that it had continued to run in cinemas since its release in 1977.) The poster was commissioned to be re-printed in 1992 but this version is from 1978 print run. It is linen backed and in outstanding condition which can be best assessed in the third unframed image. -
This is an original Japanese Style A poster for a 1969 re-release of Breakfast at Tiffany's in Japan. For many reasons (not least the beauty of both the posters and subject Audrey Hepburn) the film is widely considered to have the most popular cinema posters of any single film. The blues and pinks in this poster are stunning. Based on a novel by Truman Capote, the film epitomises the chic side of New York City through Hepburn's distinctive style. Manhattan socialite Golightly must decide between the advances of Paul, a young author who moves into her building, and multiple other rich men who appear in the course of the film. This poster is an outstanding condition but has 2 tiny tears in the bottom border which could be covered if framed. The 3rd unframed image is a HD image that enables the best condition assessment. -
This is an original UK One Sheet poster for the 1973 film The Wicker Man. The poster features the iconic wicker statue (that was reportedly used by the ancient Druids) which features in the film. The action takes place on the Scottish island of Summerisle. Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) arrives to investigate the disappearance of a child. Howie is appalled by the sexual displays and strange pagan rituals he observes on the island but the more he observes the closer he gets to finding the missing child. This poster is from the film's first UK release and it has been beautifully linen-backed to remove the fold lines. -
Let It Be is a documentary filled with poignancy as it was shot in the 4 weeks before the Beatles broke up. The bands' last ever performance on a rooftop in Saville Row in London took place during the filming. The film features a heated studio argument between McCartney and George Harrison and Yoko Ono is ever-present. The US and UK posters are exactly the same in style and feature squared photos of the band members against a black background with 'The Beatles' and 'Let it Be' in yellow writing. This stunning poster is 41 x 81 inches and the detail and condition can be best examined in the 3rd cropped image. It is in pristine near mint condition and comes folded in two parts, with no loss of colour along the fold line. We can arrange to get this linen-backed so that the folds are removed and the poster is combined and backed onto one large sheet of linen. The process will also help to conserve this valuable item. This is an original US One Sheet Poster for Diamonds are Forever. With George Lazenby having played the role last time, Bond is immediately recognisable as Sean Connery, surrounded by two female characters holding handfuls of diamonds. All 3 are positioned on the arm of a space buggy that Bond hijacks in the film. Blofeld's diamond satellite superweapon and oil rig lair feature in the background. Instead of a tagline as used in previous Bond posters, the "Forever" in the poster is repeated. This poster is in beautiful folded condition with no colour loss along the folds let alone cracking. The artwork by Robert McGinnis works particularly well with the portrait format of this poster. It was to be Sean Connery's last appearance in an Eon-produced James Bond film. This is an original US One Sheet Poster for the 1971 film Le Mans. A fictional movie about the 24 hour Le Mans race, the film uses real footage from the race the year before. Steve McQueen stars as Delaney, a racer for Porsche, wracked by guilt following the death of his fellow racer. He seeks redemption by winning the race. We have recently had this original poster linen backed and it looks incredible. No restoration of colour was required along the original fold lines. -

This is an original Quad from the first UK release of 'The Man with the Golden Gun' in 1974. Central to this poster is a huge golden gun directed at Bond with the '007' ominously etched onto a bullet being loaded into the gun. This is a direct reference to the beginning of the film when a similar bullet arrives at MI6 addressed to Bond. Roger Moore is captured in a similar pose that in the poster for Live and Let Die but a new equally as brilliant collage of images has been brought in. Mary Goodnight played by Britt Ekland and Scaramanga played by Christopher Lee feature as memorable Bond girls and villains. Images to the left and right of Bond are a nod to the film's exotic Eastern locations. Both the design and illustration were produced by the venerable Robert McGinnis. The condition of the poster is immaculate. It has been expertly linen-backed and required minimal touching up to the fold lines. This is an original first release Star Wars Style C UK Quad poster. It is especially rare as it was never folded though it has also been linen backed. The design, and artwork, were produced by Tom Chantrell. This is the style C Star Wars posters, sometimes referred to as the Dirty Dozen poster due to the way the characters line up in the same way. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on this poster. A large image of Darth Vader's helmet looms in the background, a design that was used in many subsequent posters for the franchise. There is some very minor restoration along the bottom of this poster though it is only barely perceptible to the eye on close inspection. We have graded it Very Fine on this basis but it is arguably near mint. The unframed image is a higher-definition picture that enables condition assessment. -
This is an original Polish poster in near mint condition for the release of the 1969 film Midnight Cowboy. This poster was printed to promote the release of the film in Poland in 1973 hence the date on the title. Originals of this iconic image are highly collectible and this copy is particularly special as it was never folded and is in near mint condition. Polish cinema posters are an art movement in their own right and this may be the most collectible image of the entire movement. The artwork was produced by Waldemar Swierzy and it shows a man with rosy red lips whose face has been covered by a huge blue cowboy hat. Like many Polish cinema posters of the era, there is an almost intimidating aspect to the picture. The film itself is loved by critics and audiences alike and it won the academy award for Best Picture in 1970. It tells the story of two friends trying to survive on the streets of New York City. This is an original cinema poster for the film Get Carter. This item will be on display in the Saatchi Gallery, London as part of their 2025 ‘Flowers – Flora in Contemporary Art and Culture’ exhibition which opens in February 2025. It will be delivered framed after the exhibition finishes in May 2025. Michael Caine, in one of his iconic roles, plays London gangster Jack Carter who travels north to his hometown of Newcastle to avenge the death of his brother. Arnaldo Putzu produced the stunning artwork for this poster. Its not 100% clear why the artist painted a floral pattern on the actors suit jacket. Perhaps it was an ironic nod to the swinging 60's. In any case, it delivers making this one of the great British film posters from the last 60 years. The poster is linen backed in excellent condition. -
