The film tells the story of a day in the life of a Welsh fishing called "Llareggub". Three of the biggest movie stars in the world at the time, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and Peter O'Toole, star in the film. The distinctive artwork in this UK quad poster is by Arnaldo Putzu. Unfortunately, this item got damaged in transit to us and has been reduced to 50% of the last copy of this poster we sold. Creasing can be seen along the orange strip at the top of the poster. This is an original first release Star Wars Style C UK Quad poster. It is especially rare as it was never folded though it has also been linen backed. The design, and artwork, were produced by Tom Chantrell. This is the style C Star Wars posters, sometimes referred to as the Dirty Dozen poster due to the way the characters line up in the same way. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on this poster. A large image of Darth Vader's helmet looms in the background, a design that was used in many subsequent posters for the franchise. There is some very minor restoration along the bottom of this poster though it is only barely perceptible to the eye on close inspection. We have graded it Very Fine on this basis but it is arguably near mint. The unframed image is a higher-definition picture that enables condition assessment. -
