Godfather 2 is widely considered the greatest film sequel of all time. Two storylines run through the film, Vito Corleone's (Robert De Niro) arrival in the United States in 1901 and Michael Corleone's (Al Pacino) attempt to expand the family business in the late 1950s. The earlier scenes are set in New York City while the later scenes are filmed at the Corleone family home in Lake Tahoe and a pre-Communist Cuba. This US One Sheet poster is from the films first release and includes the classic Godfather image of the puppeteer pulling strings. The font style has been widely copied by 'The Sopranos' and 'Snoop Dog' amongst others. The folder is in very fine folded condition. The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way. -

A never folded original poster, for the James Bond film 'For Your Eyes Only'. The poster, part of what is known as the 'Legs Campaign', is dominated by the legs of a girl holding a crossbow, the signature weapon of the character Melina Havelock. To the left of the main characters, there are divers while helicopters, scramblers, skiers, explosions on luxury yachts, snipers, and car chases make this a Bond poster that has it all. Having gone sci-fi four years earlier with Moonraker, the producers returned to a grittier feel with For Your Eyes Only in 1981. Bond is back in his signature tux but for once 007 is on the undercard. The unframed image is a higher definition picture which enables the best condition assessment. -

This is an Original US One Sheet Poster for the first release of the 1958 film Veritgo. Vertigo was the first Alfred Hitchcock film for which Saul Bass produced a film poster and this image has gone on to become one of the most famous pictures in movie history. The poster is synonymous with the film, they are almost one and the same. The poster uses a spiral, a symbol which can be seen throughout the film. The spiral is a visual representation of obsession, the core theme of the film. Obsession is powered by repetition, an action the spiral also represents. Scenes in the film are repeated to capture obsession. James Stewart plays Fergie, a retired detective, who suffers from acrophobia (a fear of heights) and vertigo. He takes on a job to investigate a friend's wife - Madeline, who is displaying strange behaviour. Fergie becomes obsessed with Madeline and the story unfolds. This first‑release Vertigo One Sheet is exceptionally hard to source, and this example presents beautifully. The reds — notoriously the first colour to fade on vintage posters — remain rich and vibrant, with no drift toward orange. The paper shows a gentle, natural warm tone when compared with the white of the linen backing, entirely consistent with a well‑preserved piece approaching its 70th year. The poster was professionally linen‑backed prior to my acquisition, and light, sympathetic retouching was carried out along the fold lines, most noticeably on the lower vertical fold. The close‑up photographs provide a clear view of these areas and allow for a detailed assessment. Overall, this is a striking, well‑preserved example of an increasingly scarce poster, and it will display superbly once framed. -

This is an original Star Wars Style A One sheet poster. The design, and artwork, was produced by Tom Jung. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on the poster. A large image of Darth Vader's helmet looms in the background, a design that was used in many subsequent posters for the franchise. A white streak across the top of Luke's lightsaber forms a cross. Jung explained this as representing the forces of good against evil. Star Wars was so popular in US Cinemas that four distinct prints runs of this poster were created for the first release of the film. This is from the 3rd print run which can be distinguished by the NSS number of "77/21" with "Star Wars" written under it and ''one sheet - style 'A' printed to the left of this. The poste is in beautiful tri-folded condition. The unframed image is a higher definition picture that enables condition assessment. The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way. -
This is an original style D poster for the film Star Wars. It is widely known as the Circus Poster and on the request of George Lucas George Lucas features ?Luke and Leah? swinging on a rope. Charles White produced the sketch and airbrush sections of the poster while Drew Struzan painted the portraits with oil. After carefully producing the painting you see on the 'postage stamp', the realised they had left no space for the credits and came up with the solution to paint the Obi Wan Kinobi on the right-hand side thus creating the scale required for the credits at the bottom. The first printing of the poster was done in the summer of 1978. (The film was so popular that it had continued to run in cinemas since its release in 1977.) The poster was commissioned to be re-printed in 1992 but this version is from 1978 print run. It is linen backed and in outstanding condition which can be best assessed in the third unframed image. -

Dr. No is the movie that launched the James Bond phenomenon into the US, and this is the poster that was used to promote it. Bond with a cigarette in one hand and a gun in the other lounges next to 4 seductive women. Small line drawings of scenes from the movie are used. Red and yellow are colours that portray passion while the use of black green and yellow is perhaps a nod to the film's Jamaican setting. You can observe grey smoke coming from Bonds cigarette. In the first run of prints of these posters the smoke was yellow but this was changed in later print runs. Both posters are equally desirable, and this is a special and rare poster. It is in beautiful linen-backed condition.
