This is an original US cinema poster for the James Bond film Octopussy. 1983 was the year 2 Bonds went head to head. Sean Connery starred in his final outing in Never Say Never Again however it was Octopussy which won at the Box Office. The poster features a tuxedo-clad, gun-wielding Roger Moore and the female lead Octopussy played by Maud Adams. Adams's six arms hold a martini glass, straightens Bonds tuxedo, hair and bow tie and also ominously stroke the silencer of his gun and while also point a knife towards the ground. The Acrostar minijet plays a prominent role in the US and the letter "O" in the logo us graciously combined with the tentacles of an octopus. **This image has been trimmed and is 39.5 x 27.5 inches instead of the normal 40 x 30 inches. There is also a tear in the top border that can be seen. However all the artwork reamins in tact. Timothy Dalton brought a rugged grittiness to the Bond character in a similar way as Daniel Craig did almost 20 years later. The tagline 'Living on the Edge' portrays a Bond character under pressure in contrast to the suave sophisticate played Roger Moore. This is an original UK quad for the epic 1962 film The Longest Day, an epic dramatisation of the D-Day landings. The story is told from both an Allied and German side and features an all-star cast including John Wayne, Richard Burton and Sean Connery. The quad format brilliantly captures what the inside of a German trench would have looked like as the Allied forces descended on Normandy. This poster was printed for a 60s re-release of the film. The name Gert Frobe was added to the credits after he played Goldfinger in 1964. -

This is an original 2 Foglio for the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun. It was printed for a re-release in the mid to late 70s subsequent to the first release of the film. The poster features artwork showing Roger Moore as Bond and the large golden gun was produced by the artist Robert McGinnis. Unusually for a poster this size it has only a single vertical fold and we believe it would display really well. This is an rare original poster for the first release of 'The Man with the Golden Gun' in 1974, which features a tie-up with the brand Guinness. The huge golden gun directed at Bond with the '007' ominously etched onto a bullet is central to the poster but it shares the limelight with the famous Irish stout. A bottle of Guinness makes an appearance in the film when Nick Nack brings it to Scaramanga on a tray with bottle of Champagne and a plate of oysters in the pre-title sequence. This is an original Quad from the first UK release of 'The Man with the Golden Gun' in 1974. Central to this poster is a huge golden gun directed at Bond with the '007' ominously etched onto a bullet being loaded into the gun. This is a direct reference to the beginning of the film when a similar bullet arrives at MI6 addressed to Bond. Roger Moore is captured in a similar pose that in the poster for Live and Let Die but a new equally as brilliant collage of images has been brought in. Mary Goodnight played by Britt Ekland and Scaramanga played by Christopher Lee feature as memorable Bond girls and villains. Images to the left and right of Bond are a nod to the film's exotic Eastern locations. Both the design and illustration were produced by the venerable Robert McGinnis. The condition of the poster is immaculate. It has been expertly linen-backed and required minimal touching up to the fold lines. Having been 3 years since the previous Bond movie this poster has a new artist in Robert 'Bob' Peak and the artwork has a decidedly darker and mysterious tone than previous Bond campaigns. Anya Amasova the Russian agent, Bond teams up with, has an almost equal emphasis in the poster. The artwork features beneath the sea action and the hold of the villain Stomberg's ship which is being used to conceal hijacked US and Soviet submarines. The artwork on this Australian daybill poster is almost identical to that on the UK and US posters.
