This is an original Spanish One Sheet Poster for the release of the film Spiderman. This poster style was withdrawn as it features an image of the Twin Towers in the reflection in Spiderman's eye. The poster was printed before the September 11th attacks on New York City and subsequently withdrawn and never used in cinemas. The poster has some edge wear and surface creasing which can be best inspected in the third HD image. This is an original style D poster for the film Star Wars. It is widely known as the Circus Poster and on the request of George Lucas George Lucas features ?Luke and Leah? swinging on a rope. Charles White produced the sketch and airbrush sections of the poster while Drew Struzan painted the portraits with oil. After carefully producing the painting you see on the 'postage stamp', the realised they had left no space for the credits and came up with the solution to paint the Obi Wan Kinobi on the right-hand side thus creating the scale required for the credits at the bottom. The first printing of the poster was done in the summer of 1978. (The film was so popular that it had continued to run in cinemas since its release in 1977.) The poster was commissioned to be re-printed in 1992 but this version is from 1978 print run. It is linen backed and in outstanding condition which can be best assessed in the third unframed image. -
This is an original Star Wars Style A One sheet poster. The design, and artwork, was produced by Tom Jung. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on the poster. A large image of Darth Vader's helmet looms in the background, a design that was used in many subsequent posters for the franchise. A white streak across the top of Luke's lightsaber forms a cross. Jung explained this as representing the forces of good against evil. Star Wars was so popular in US Cinemas that four distinct prints runs of this poster were created for the first release of the film. This is from the 3rd print run which can be distinguished by the NSS number of "77/21" with "Star Wars" written under it and ''one sheet - style 'A' printed to the left of this. The poste is in beautiful tri-folded condition. The unframed image is a higher definition picture that enables condition assessment. This is an original Star Wars Style C US One sheet poster. This is a special poster, hugely rare and coveted. The multi coloured strip that can be seen on along the side makes this one extra special as it shows it to be a printers proof. The 3rd unframed image is a HD image that enable best inspection. The coloured bar is used to enable printers to revise and perfect the posters they print using the offset lithography method. 99.9% of the time the proof is chopped from the posters before circulating them in the cinemas. Old proofs are often re-discovered in printing presses years later as is the case with this poster which has come directly from the printer. The design, and artwork for the poster, was produced by Tom Chantrell. It was originally commissioned for the UK release of the film but George Lucas liked it so much it was also used for US cinemas. Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and C-3PO all feature on the poster. This is an original double-sided cinema poster in near mint condition for the 2005 film Star Wars Episode III. Anakin joins forces with Obi-Wan and sets Palpatine free from the evil clutches of Count Doku. However, he falls prey to Palpatine and the Jedis' mind games and gives into temptation. The film is a powerful conclusion to part 6 of George Lucas' epic film franchise. There is some minor edge wear on this poster. An original double-sided cinema poster in near mint condition for the 2008 film The Dark Knight. This poster is probably the most desirable poster produced for the trilogy of Batman movies directed by Christopher Nolan. No actor has captured the rebel spirt and menace required for a Batman 'bad guy' quite like Heath Ledger?s Joker. In this poster Joker appears to be standing behind a glass screen on which he has written the hugely memorable line 'Why So Serious?' in blood. It is an outstanding image which looks even more brilliant when seen up close. There are many fakes of this poster circulating. The reproductions are double-sided (as one would expect from an original poster), however the dimensions of the fakes are slightly smaller, the paper is less glossy and the colour's are not as deep. In short the quality of an original, such as the one we have on offer, are much better and of course more valuable. The poster is in excellent condition which can be best assessed in the 3rd unframed image. -
This is an original advanced poster for the the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises. The Dark Knight Rises is Christian Bale's final appearance as Bruce Wayne/ Batman. Bane an imposing terrorist attacks Garden City and disrupts it's 8 year long period of peace. This forces Bruce Wayne to come out of hiding and don the cape of Batman again. There are small 2 tears on the left hand side that have been repaired from the back but they are barely visible from the front. The 3rd unframed image shows the poster available to buy. The action takes place on the Scottish island of Summerisle. Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward) arrives to investigate the disappearance of a child. Howie is appalled by the sexual displays and strange pagan rituals he observes on the island but the more he observes the closer he gets to finding the missing child. This poster is from the film's first UK release and it has been beautifully linen-backed to remove the fold lines. -
