Dr. No is the movie that launched the James Bond phenomenon into the US, and this is the poster that was used to promote it. Bond with a cigarette in one hand and a gun in the other lounges next to 4 seductive women. Small line drawings of scenes from the movie are used. Red and yellow are colours that portray passion while the use of black green and yellow is perhaps a nod to the film's Jamaican setting. You can observe grey smoke coming from Bonds cigarette. In the first run of prints of these posters the smoke was yellow but this was changed in later print runs. Both posters are equally desirable, and this is a special and rare poster. It is in beautiful linen-backed condition. -

This is an original US Subway Cinema poster for the first release of Thunderball in the United States. Thunderball was the first Bond film poster to feature work by the acclaimed artist Robert McGinnis and this is a special poster. It was first major US or UK film poster to feature Bond in attire other than a tuxedo. Here Bond can be seen in an under water fight scene holding a spear gun. There is an incredible green/blue background and red and black suited divers and corals feature also. Three subway posters that carry the captions 'Look Up', 'Look Out' and 'Look Down' were printed for Thunderball. All 3 posters can be viewed on this site but this image, tops the other two in value, when they come up at auction. Printed 60 years ago this poster was never folded, has now been linen-backed and remains in excellent condition. The colours are immaculate and there are no pinholes or tape and only minor edge wear on the sides. This is an original cinema poster for the 1967 film Casino Royale. Robert Feldman acquired the rights for the first Ian Fleming James Bond novel. Rather than making a deal with Bond franchise owner EON Productions, he produced this satire himself. Bond is played by multiple actors, reflected in the tagline Casino Royale is too much for one James Bond, and the movie features many superstars all of whom are listed on the poster. The artwork is by Robert McGinnis and the multi-coloured paisley pattern painted on the girl's body reflects the swinging 60s mood of the time. -

This is an original US One sheet poster for the film Help. A fictional film it follows follows the Beatles as they record an album while trying to save Ringo from a cult. The film satirises the James Bond franchise and the UK secret service. Help is the second Beatles film to be made after 'A Hards Days Night' and this poster from the first release of the film in the US. Paul Javal a young French playwright on the up accepts a job from vulgar American producer Jeremy Prokosch who wants Javal to re-write a script of a film being directed by Fritz Lang. Javal’s wife Camille is played by Brigitte Bardot and the presence of Prokosch drives a wedge between husband and wife. Camille develops what she describes as mépris (contempt) for her husband. This is an Australian poster for the first release poster of the film Lawrence of Arabia in Australia. It is a lovely example of a stone lithograph print that was used for Australian cinema posters. The poster was originally folded but has been stored flat and the fold lines are barely perceptible. The third unframed HD image enables the best assessment. David Leans epic depicts the story of British army officer T.E. Lawrence who led Arabian desert tribes into battle with the Turkish army in Aqaba and Damascus during World War I. Peter O'Toole plays the title role and Omar Sharif and Anthony Quinn also star. -
