Considine plays Richard an army veteran who returns to the Derbyshire town of his childhood to find out what has happened to his brother Anthony. Anthony (Toby Kebbell) had become involved with a local drug gang, though due to learning difficulties the gang had made him the butt of their cruelty. Much of the film unfolds with Richard seeking revenge.
