He inadvertently stops his parents meeting thereby threatening his very existence. In the movie, time travel is made possible using a DeLorean car built by his friend and scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). Marty and Doc must travel Back to the Future to enable his parents to meet, while also evading villain Biff.
