  • Dr. No is the movie that launched the James Bond phenomenon into the US, and this is the poster that was used to promote it. Bond with a cigarette in one hand and a gun in the other lounges next to 4 seductive women. Small line drawings of scenes from the movie are used. Red and yellow are colours that portray passion while the use of black green and yellow is perhaps a nod to the film's Jamaican setting. You can observe grey smoke coming from Bonds cigarette. In the first run of prints of these posters the smoke was yellow but this was changed in later print runs. Both posters are equally desirable, and this is a special and rare poster. It is in beautiful linen-backed condition.

To the left of the main characters, there are divers while helicopters, scramblers, skiers, explosions on luxury yachts, snipers, and car chases make this a Bond poster that has it all. Having gone sci-fi four years earlier with Moonraker, the producers returned to a grittier feel with For Your Eyes Only in 1981. The US poster relies heavily on taglines while also featuring an image of Bond in a passionate (and recently controversial) encounter with the memorable Bond girl Pussy Galore played by Honor Blackman.
