This is an original, county of original, UK quad poster in outstanding folded condition for the 1968 Beatles film Yellow Submarine. The poster was printed in advance of the films first release. There are no credits and you can see that not even the film title has not been printed as it was unlikely to have been confirmed at the time. The animated film was released in an effort to meet the band’s obligation with United Artist to deliver three feature films.

The artwork is by Heinz Edelmann and features much of the fun from the cartoon with the Fab Four and their Yellow submarine as the centrepiece. When inhabitants of Pepperland are attacked by the music hating Blue Meanies, the Mayor of Pepperland dispatches sailor Old Fred to Liverpool, to recruit the help of the Beatles (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr). The Beatles ride a yellow submarine to the rescue and banish the Blue Meanies with their groovy tunes.

The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way.

Mint
A flawless poster that will be in the exact same condition as the day it was printed with no marks or fading.

Near Mint
This poster will be in excellent conditions and if it has a blemish or mark it will be barely noticeable.

Very Fine
A poster that may have more than one very minor flaws, a minor tear or some barely visible signs of restoration. Colour in outstanding condition.

Fine
A fine poster while still very presentable may have some edge damage, show clearer signs of restoration or have multiple nicks to the surface. If a folded poster there may be loss of colour along the folds.

Very Good
An average poster that shows multiple pinholes, tears that are clearly visible or possible tape stains. Colours are still good but the paper may have yellowed.

Good and Below Good
This poster will show serious signs of wear and tears, fading of colours, tear marks and/or noticeable repair work.
