Of the three styles the Style C (Bath Scene) picture is the most popular. The picture has many subtle signs of the year the poster was produced. The image is deliberately risque, reflecting the new 1960s mood of sexual liberation. This is an original US Subway Cinema poster for the first release of Thunderball in the United States. Thunderball was the first Bond film poster to feature work by the acclaimed artist Robert McGinniss and this is a special poster. It was first major US or UK film poster to feature Bond in attire other than a tuxedo. Here you can see him ready for action, wearing a wetsuit and flippers and holding a spear gun. This hugely 'desirable' image is used in the UK quad poster also . Similar in composition, both are landscape posters but this image with an extra 20 inches in width and 15 inches in height than the quad has that extra wow factor. Printed 60 years ago this poster remains in excellent condition. The colours are immaculate and there are no pinholes or tape. There is some minor edge wear and a 1 inch tear in either side. One of them goes into green border slightly and can just about be seen above the black hair of the lady wearing the pink headboard. Really this is minor stuff however and it would be barely visible let alone draw the eye when framed. We can also help with the framing of this spectacular image. -

This is an original Quad from the first UK release of 'The Man with the Golden Gun' in 1974. Central to this poster is a huge golden gun directed at Bond with the '007' ominously etched onto a bullet being loaded into the gun. This is a direct reference to the beginning of the film when a similar bullet arrives at MI6 addressed to Bond. Roger Moore is captured in a similar pose that in the poster for Live and Let Die but a new equally as brilliant collage of images has been brought in. Mary Goodnight played by Britt Ekland and Scaramanga played by Christopher Lee feature as memorable Bond girls and villains. Images to the left and right of Bond are a nod to the film's exotic Eastern locations. Both the design and illustration were produced by the venerable Robert McGinnis. The condition of the poster is immaculate. It has been expertly linen-backed and required minimal touching up to the fold lines. This is an original 2 Foglio for the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun. It was printed for a re-release in the mid to late 70s subsequent to the first release of the film. The poster features artwork showing Roger Moore as Bond and the large golden gun was produced by the artist Robert McGinnis. The story is told from both an Allied and German side and features an all-star cast including John Wayne, Richard Burton and Sean Connery. The quad format brilliantly captures what the inside of a German trench would have looked like as the Allied forces descended on Normandy. This poster was printed for a 60s re-release of the film. The name Gert Frobe was added to the credits after he played Goldfinger in 1964. -

**This image has been trimmed and is 39.5 x 27.5 inches instead of the normal 40 x 30 inches. There is also a tear in the top border that can be seen. However all the artwork reamins in tact. Timothy Dalton brought a rugged grittiness to the Bond character in a similar way as Daniel Craig did almost 20 years later. The tagline 'Living on the Edge' portrays a Bond character under pressure in contrast to the suave sophisticate played Roger Moore. The poster has all the classic Bond ingredients and places Dalton in the centre of the iconic gun-barrel logo we see at the beginning of every movie. The latest Aston Martin v8 model with rocket firing capabilities features continuing the car manufactures ties with the franchise. There is something of an 'end of an era' quality about this poster as it was the last Bond UK Quad to feature painted artwork as computer manipulated cut out images were applied in an effort to bring a more contemporary feel.
