This is an original cinema poster for the first release of 'A Clockwork Orange' the hugely famous 1971 dystopian crime film directed by Stanley Kubrick. The film tells the story of Alex (Malcolm McDowell) and the horrific violent crime sprees he and his gang go on. Alex is eventually captured and agrees to partake in a psychological therapy in return for a reduced sentence. In the programme he is injected with nausea-inducing drugs and made to watch violence, similar to the type he had committed. It is while in therapy that his eyes are clamped open. This scene has been the source material for many of the film's cinema posters. The poster listed here is from the year of the films first release in 1972 and it was used for International circulation. The poster is designed by Philip Castle who later designed album covers for David Bowie and Pulp. The pointed pyramid and focus on human eyes reflect the grotesque pop art that is intertwined throughout the film. The poster is linen backed and is excellent condition. The 3rd image is a HD picture that enables best condition assessment.

Hotter than Bond. Cooler than Bullitt. It takes a serious character to take on 2 crime mobs but suave detective 'Shaft' (played by Richard Roundtree) is that man. The film is famous for many reasons, not least because it is a top-quality detective drama. The soundtrack by Isaac Hayes won an Oscar and the film could have won Best Picture also. This is a UK poster from the films first release in 1971. The 3rd unframed image is the actual poster available for sale.

The artwork on this UK teaser poster for Quentin Tarantino's eighth film, makes it highly sought after. When a bounty hunter and his captured fugitive are caught in the middle of a snowstorm, they seek refuge at the small lodge and encounter a twisted turn of events there. There are 3 tears in the borders of this poster but they have been repaired with archival tape and we don't think the tears would be apparent if framed. The 3rd image enables the best condition assessment.

This an original quad poster for the 2011 film - Drive. Totally absorbing and original, violent and romantic, brilliant from start to finish. Surprisingly Drive didn't really feature on the end of decade 'Best Movie' lists, but the prices fetched for this UK quad poster may make it one of the most sought-after movie posters of the last 10 years. It's not hard to see why. Ryan Gosling and a Cadillac dominate while the blue and 'northern lights' like green colours make Los Angeles look beautiful in the same way Michael Mann managed to do in Heat 15 years earlier. There is some surface wear, paper loss and minor staining on the 'E' in the film title. This can be best seen in the 3rd unframed image. The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way.
