This is a rare original and highly coveted withdrawn 'Lucky Strike' poster for the film Pulp Fiction. Few, if any, posters from the last 25 years have a back story quite like this poster. Observe the packet of cigarettes in front of Uma Thurman and you will see they bear a resemblance to a carton of Lucky Strikes. The cigarette manufacturer threatened to sue the film’s producer Miramax unless all copies of the poster were destroyed. The posters got recalled and fewer than 100 copies are thought to survive making this poster highly rare and collectible. High-quality reproductions of the poster are in circulation with 2 noticeable flaws. Firstly, the top of the poster was cropped and the ‘little man’ (white on red background with the appearance of steak marbling) above the black ‘R’ letter was cropped. The second tell of the reproductions is a white speckling on Uma Thurman’s breast. The poster offered for sale here is one of the originals with the little man fully in tact and no speckling. The Tarantino film is, of course, a masterpiece which when coupled with the poster's back story makes it a compelling investment. Furthermore, this poster is in excellent condition, without with only a small crease 2 inches up the left hand side. This is minor stuff however and could be covered if framed.  

An original cinema poster in near mint condition for the 1993 film Carlitos Way. Simply brilliant movie, directed by Brian De Palma, in which Al Pacino plays a reformed Puerto Rican convict Carlito Brigante. As Carlito returns to the streets of New York City, his old acquaintances, not least his lawyer Kleinfeld (Sean Penn) conspire to drag him back into the criminal life he has vowed to leave behind. The 3rd unframed image is the actual poster and enables the best condition assessment. The round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. The opening scenes of Pulp Fiction are so brilliant that in the space of 10 minutes it re-launched the career of John Travolta and catapulted Samuel L Jackson to stardom. Other stars featured in abundance, but the shot of Uma Thurman used in both this poster and the US One Sheet will understandingly live on as the movie's iconic image. There is some edge wear (which could be covered by framing) and cracking on this poster which can be best examined in the unframed image. An original cinema poster in very fine condition for the 1990 film Goodfellas. Quite simply one of the greatest gangster movies of all time which opens with the unforgettable line - 'As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster'. The line is uttered by the character of Henry Hill, played by Ray Liota. The film focuses on his rise through the ranks of the mafia from his early childhood. Robert De Niro plays the suave Jimmy Conway while Joe Pesci plays the psychotic Tommy DeVito. It also stars Lorraine Bracco as Hill's wife Karen. She went on to play the brilliant Dr Jennifer Melfi in The Sopranos. This poster is from the films first release in the UK with gushing reviews from the national newspapers on the margins.
