    This is an original Style A One Sheet poster for the 1980 release of 'The Empire Strikes Back'. The poster is commonly known as the 'Gone with the Wind' poster. Painted by Roger Castell, the image of Hans Solo kissing Princess Leia is a clear homage to a 1967 re-release poster for 'Gone with the Wind'. The use of this image is believed to have been a request directly from George Lucas. Considered by many to be the most beautiful picture produced for the Star Wars franchise, the background is similar to the Aurora Borealis (Northern lights). A large Vadar helmet looms large in the image, a design taken from Tom Jung 'Style A' Star Wars poster. The poster is linen-backed in excellent condition.
