This is an original US cinema poster for the James Bond film Octopussy. 1983 was the year 2 Bonds went head to head. Sean Connery starred in his final outing in Never Say Never Again however it was Octopussy which won at the Box Office. The poster features a tuxedo-clad, gun-wielding Roger Moore and the female lead Octopussy played by Maud Adams. Adams's six arms hold a martini glass, straightens Bonds tuxedo, hair and bow tie and also ominously stroke the silencer of his gun and while also point a knife towards the ground. The Acrostar minijet plays a prominent role in the US and the letter "O" in the logo us graciously combined with the tentacles of an octopus. Godfather 2 is widely considered the greatest film sequel of all time. Two storylines run through the film, Vito Corleone's (Robert De Niro) arrival in the United States in 1901 and Michael Corleone's (Al Pacino) attempt to expand the family business in the late 1950s. The earlier scenes are set in New York City while the later scenes are filmed at the Corleone family home in Lake Tahoe and a pre-Communist Cuba. An original double-sided cinema poster in near mint condition for the 2008 film The Dark Knight. This poster is probably the most desirable poster produced for the trilogy of Batman movies directed by Christopher Nolan. No actor has captured the rebel spirt and menace required for a Batman 'bad guy' quite like Heath Ledger?s Joker. In this poster Joker appears to be standing behind a glass screen on which he has written the hugely memorable line 'Why So Serious?' in blood. It is an outstanding image which looks even more brilliant when seen up close. There are many fakes of this poster circulating. The reproductions are double-sided (as one would expect from an original poster), however the dimensions of the fakes are slightly smaller, the paper is less glossy and the colour's are not as deep. In short the quality of an original, such as the one we have on offer, are much better and of course more valuable. Skiing features prominently in all posters for George Lazenby's single outing as 007, none more so than in this US poster from the films first release. Telly Savalas as Blofeld leads the bad guy chase in this exquisitely coloured coloured artwork by Robert McGinnis and Frank McCarthy. The tagline 'James Bond is back' and portrayal of 007 gear would make this an incredible picture for a ski chalet. This poster was printed for a 1980s re-release of the film and importantly has never been folded making it particularly desirable. The colours are completely unfaded.
