The film tells the story of a hobbit, Frodo, who finds a ring that holds great power. Frodo must travel to Mount Doom in order to destroy the ring. Thunderball was the first Bond film poster to feature work by the acclaimed artist Robert McGinnis and this is a special poster. It was first major US or UK film poster to feature Bond in attire other than a tuxedo. Here Bond can be seen in an under water fight scene holding a spear gun. There is an incredible green/blue background and red and black suited divers and corals feature also. Three subway posters that carry the captions 'Look Up', 'Look Out' and 'Look Down' were printed for Thunderball. All 3 posters can be viewed on this site but this image, tops the other two in value, when they come up at auction. Printed 60 years ago this poster was never folded, has now been linen-backed and remains in excellent condition. The colours are immaculate and there are no pinholes or tape and only minor edge wear on the sides. This is an original US Subway Cinema poster for the first release of Thunderball in the United States. This hugely 'desirable' image is used in the UK quad poster also . Similar in composition, both are landscape posters but this image with an extra 20 inches in width and 15 inches in height than the quad has that extra wow factor. Printed 60 years ago this poster remains in excellent condition. The colours are immaculate and there are no pinholes or tape. There is some minor edge wear and a 1 inch tear in either side. One of them goes into green border slightly and can just about be seen above the black hair of the lady wearing the pink headboard. Really this is minor stuff however and it would be barely visible let alone draw the eye when framed. We can also help with the framing of this spectacular image. -

This is an original US cinema poster for the James Bond film Octopussy. 1983 was the year 2 Bonds went head to head. Sean Connery starred in his final outing in Never Say Never Again however it was Octopussy which won at the Box Office. The poster features a tuxedo-clad, gun-wielding Roger Moore and the female lead Octopussy played by Maud Adams. Adams's six arms hold a martini glass, straightens Bonds tuxedo, hair and bow tie and also ominously stroke the silencer of his gun and while also point a knife towards the ground. The main artwork is by US artist Dan Gotzee and the background scenes are by Italian artist Renato Casaro. The poster is rolled in excellent condition. Dr. No is the movie that launched the James Bond phenomenon into the US, and this is the poster that was used to promote it. Bond with a cigarette in one hand and a gun in the other lounges next to 4 seductive women. Small line drawings of scenes from the movie are used. Red and yellow are colours that portray passion while the use of black green and yellow is perhaps a nod to the film's Jamaican setting. You can observe grey smoke coming from Bonds cigarette. In the first run of prints of these posters the smoke was yellow but this was changed in later print runs. Both posters are equally desirable, and this is a special and rare poster. It is in beautiful linen-backed condition. -
This is an original copy of the Plaza print (numbered 67 of 100) by Damian Hirst. It is Diasec-mounted Giclée print on aluminium composite panel and was produced in 2018 in collaboration with the publisher Heni. Plaza is part of a series of 8 Colour Space paintings produced by the artist. They are all named after famous hotels with Claridge's and The Savoy being others in the collection. Plaza combines part of the artist spot paintings which begun in 1986 with the his ‘Spin Paintings’ series, begun in 1994. -
