This is an original US One Sheet cinema poster in near-mint condition for the 2001 film The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring. Printed on it is ‘This film is not yet rated’ which indicates how soon in advance of the main release the poster was printed and distributed to cinemas making it very collectible.   This adaptation of the classic novel by J. R. R. Tolkien is directed as a three-part series of feature films by Peter Jackson. This is an advance poster for the first of the three films making it one of the first posters to be circulated for the series. The film tells the story of a hobbit, Frodo, who finds a ring that holds great power. Frodo must travel to Mount Doom in order to destroy the ring.

The poster is in near mint condition and the round white/black objects you may see in the corners are magnets, used to photograph the posters. They have not damaged the posters in any way.

Mint
A flawless poster that will be in the exact same condition as the day it was printed with no marks or fading.

Near Mint
This poster will be in excellent conditions and if it has a blemish or mark it will be barely noticeable.

Very Fine
A poster that may have more than one very minor flaws, a minor tear or some barely visible signs of restoration. Colour in outstanding condition.

Fine
A fine poster while still very presentable may have some edge damage, show clearer signs of restoration or have multiple nicks to the surface. If a folded poster there may be loss of colour along the folds.

Very Good
An average poster that shows multiple pinholes, tears that are clearly visible or possible tape stains. Colours are still good but the paper may have yellowed.

Good and Below Good
This poster will show serious signs of wear and tears, fading of colours, tear marks and/or noticeable repair work.
